The area provides endless possibilities for touring; to the west is Mid-Wales, the beautiful Elan Valley and the Brecon Beacons; to the north, Shropshire and the county town of Shrewsbury; to the east and south lie Malvern and the Malvern Hills. There are National Trust properties, market towns and three cathedral cities, (Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester) all within easy reach. The area is renowned for its old style timber framed buildings and picturesque villages. Most of the public houses serve meals of a high standard, tea and coffee shops are well positioned along the Black and White Village Trail.

The local annual festivals include the Book Fair at Hay on Wye, the Ludlow Festival of Music and Art, the Ludlow Food Festival and the Presteigne Music Festival, together with numerous other local events. The National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall are within 5 miles and local antiques and craft centres are in abundance.

For those with more modest tastes or budgets almost all the local pubs and restaurants provide high quality, country food.

Fishing – A variety of different facilities are available in the locality.

Cycling and Walking – There are quiet lanes, public footpaths, ancient hill forts and woods surrounding The Buzzards.

It is farmed according to biodynamic principals and the owner is a member of the Biodynamic Association.

Our own delicious, seasonal produce is available for you to buy, depending on the time of year these will include pork, sausages, eggs and apples.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and our Buzzard Breakfasts are hearty and healthy, using our own home grown ingredients and the very best of other local produce.
